Q. I have registered for the free workshops/seminars on Eventbrite, why I didn’t receive the Zoom link and login password?
We take all feedback we received very seriously. We have investigated each incident and found the common reasons why participants are not receiving their Zoom link and password below:
Q. I have paid for my membership, why the system still charging me the non-member price?
It may take up to 1 business day for the system to approve your membership application. Once your membership application has been approved, member pricing will be automatically applied to your account during checkout. If you encounter any issue, please contact centre for immediate assistance.
Q. I don’t want to be a member, why I still have to create a profile in the portal in order to register for the free classes and workshops?
By creating a profile, it provides us an acceptable form of ID to verify it later when you run into a problem. Also, the information you provided in your profile is just a way for us to identify, communicate and serving you better. Imagine there 8 Margaret or 10 John in our system with the same last name. Also, we have to make sure you are meeting our age requirements, such as children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a person 16 years or older, etc.
Q. I don’t know my login ID and password, what should I do?
If you have previously provided your email address when you signing up for your membership, you can obtain your login ID and password by going to our website login screen, click the “Forgot your password” link. Enter your email address and click “Retrieve my password.” Then you will receive your login ID and password in your email.
Q. I have paid for my 2020 membership at the beginning of the year, but the centre was closed, what will happen to my membership?
Members mean the world to us! Your support of the MWC is wholeheartedly appreciated especially during this unprecedented time. We have proactively extended all memberships that were paid in full as of March 2020. The new expiry date will be automatically changed to 31st December, 2021 at the year end. Members do not need to take any actions for this change.
For new members or member who haven’t renewed 2020 membership, can also take advantage of our upcoming membership drive. If you sign up your membership as of today, your membership won’t expire until 31st December, 2021, which equals to 2 months* free!
Q. Why some activities available while others not?
We are closely monitoring all provincial and federal health guidelines to ensure the safety for all our members and staff. We will only offer modified classes and activities when it is safe to do so. In order to reduce the risk of spreading of COVID-19 in the community, we have carefully reviewed and consulted with each instructor and followed the guidelines and recommendations of local public health officials. We will be monitoring progress on COVID-19 and making necessary adjustments on other programs as needed.
Q. I still don’t feel ready to come in the centre, what are my options?
If you aren’t ready to come back to our centre in-person just yet, we totally understand. That’s why we are offering series of online programs at no cost, which we think you will be pleasantly surprised and keep you safe and healthy at your own home.
